Hello, my name is Nala!My ID is A116600Even though I am a ginger tabby, I am female – only 20% of orange cats are female, so I am already a special cat! I am 2 years old, and looking for my forever home with a loving family. Please give me a chance and don’t judge me for my notched ear. Yes, I started life on the streets of Gilroy, but I am a lover, not a fighter. Here are some things about me:· I love to sit calmly on my owner’s lap (or on a kitty bed next to you) and have my tummy rubbed – and no, I will not claw your hand when you do that! I also loved to be groomed with a comb or soft brush. I love to knead.· I purr almost constantly, and I will head-butt my human family a lot.· I am completely litter-trained.· I love exploring new areas.· I love to have a tall cat scratching post more than a flat horizontal one.· I am a very easy-going cat. Even trimming my nails is extremely easy, and I love to have my toes played with.· I love to play with toys, especially feathers and things with catnip!Notes to a potential adopter of Nala:I am fostering Nala and wanted very much to keep her as part of our family, but our existing cat wasn’t thrilled with that idea. This means you have the opportunity of a lifetime to invite a cat with an incredible personality into your home! Kittens are great and cute, but they grow up fast and it’s very hard to predict what their personality is going to be. Nala is 2 years old, with an existing wonderful, Zen personality. She has not exhibited any aggressive actions to humans, no biting, no hissing, no growling. She lets me trim her nails very quickly and easily – and you know that is the ultimate test! For those of you that know about cats, you already know how rare it is to find a cat that loves to have its tummy rubbed, and also likes to have its paws played with, and won’t scratch or claw…seriously, that’s a big deal.If you invite her into your home, your efforts will be rewarded with one of the sweetest cats I have ever seen – and I have seen a lot of cats. Probably best for her to be an only cat, she loves humans but isn’t too happy with other cats. Her favorite thing to do seems to be to hang out with her humans, she loves to camp out on the kitty bed next to my desk.She prefers upright scratching posts, and if you have those available and make it clear that you want her to use that and not your furniture, your couch is saf
